SUNROOMS…
THREE or FOUR SEASONS

Even
though this is supposed to be our first week of summer - it may
feel a lot more like fall. For those of you considering the
purchase of a sunroom this may bring to mind certain questions.
One question may be, should I purchase a three season or four -
season sunroom?
The most popular choice over the years has been the three - season
sunroom - for several reasons If you enjoy the outdoors nothing
will give you the same kind of feeling as a three - season
sunroom. The large expanse of glass and screen give you an
unobstructed view but there are many things you do not see that
add to that outdoor feeling. Being constructed primarily of glass,
aluminum and screen the room will not absorb moisture or odors and
unlike conventional construction the room not only looks and feels
like being outside, it also "smells" like it.
Even though you won't use your three - season sunroom all year
round it will provide benefits on a daily basis. In winter it
affords energy savings and protection because it is like covering
your house wall with a storm door. The result is that even at
temperatures of -10 to -15 degrees Celsius the room will trap
enough solar gain to be quite comfortable. Other customers say
they like to use it as a cold storage for their Christmas baking.
The biggest reason people purchase a three - season over a four -
season sunroom is cost. Not only are the initial savings
substantial but the ongoing expenses of a three - season sunroom
are virtually nil compared to the four - season sunroom that must
be heated and cooled forever.
Hopefully, this gives you some insight and helps with your choice
of sunroom. If you should require more information, contact us at
