A History of Patio Enclosures 

Although I have been involved in a family business that has been re­searching, developing, manufacturing, and installing patio enclosures and sunrooms for well over twenty eight years, it has only been in the past decade or so that the concept of having a sunroom has become very popular.

"Outdoor living" is not generally synonymous with "Winterpeg". It is difficult to conjure up an enticing mental picture of a place where six months of winter is followed by a short mosquito season known as summer, but that is the main reason patio enclosures and sunrooms are so appealing, Having a climate that has more sunlight than most of North America, people are looking for ways to take advantage of our abundance of "rays".

Initially our company manufactured and installed awnings and canopies that would shade and protect doors, windows, and small deck areas. This led to our developing a revolutionary roofing system to cover larger deck and patio areas.

In our infinite wisdom (well, actually our customers who wanted protection from mosquitoes) we devised a screen wall system that evolved into a glass and screen enclosed area that offers a safe haven from airborne pests and extends summer by a few months. This is what is popularly called a three-season sunroom. But we didn't stop there! Through ongoing research and development we came up with an all - season product to allow our clients the opportunity to enjoy the sunshine all year round.

What type of sunroom is right for you depends a lot on what you want to accomplish by having one and what you can afford to spend. The fact that our enclosures are not “packages" but custom built for your home has given us an outstanding reputation. The fact that we have been around for more than 28 years and stand behind our products has increased customer satisfaction.
